  • Hi: you have a wonderful blog, and I was wondering who designed it, I can’t find someone who can make my own ..or maybe I just don’t know how to explain what I want r..xD

    all the best

    Please let me know !

  • I love Evon’s bags made from upcycled thrift suits! I am always looking for
“reconstruction” ideas! Going Home to Roost is awesome!

  • Hi Bonnie, I just wanted to say what a beautiful bright, and happy blog you have here..just saw you on fp Etsy, (Congrats!!) you are truly talented and creative…! Definitely going to bookmark you, and be back frequently. I would love to make my blog even half as interesting as yours!!
P.S..I have a 2 year old called Bonnie!!

  • Hi Bonnie. Congratulations on the feature! I love your items, your blog, and everything else associated with your name. It is all so bright and cheerful, great work! Stop by and pay me a visit sometime on etsy, I’d love your autograph. :)

  • Hi Bonnie! I just discovered your blog via Etsy (congrats on being the featured seller!!). In your interview with Etsy you mentioned that you make candles? I was wondering if you plan to discuss this on your blog, maybe a quick tutorial or just a look into your process? I have a new baby on the way and have been trying to eliminate artificial scents from our home, but with a toddler, dog and a husband (haha) sometimes I need a little “scent pick me up”. Thanks so much!
PS: The apple jam recipe looks delish, its become my new craving!

  • Hi Bonnie…congrats on being on the front page. I love your aprons…you fabrics…your pillows…your blog…I love everything!! Everything is so cute. You are one very very talented person :)

  • Hi Bonnie! As a new etsy seller I found your featured seller article very inspiring. Also, I love the photographs of your gandmothers garden, it stirred memories of my own grandparents gardens, Thank-you!

  • Bonnie,

Sick blog, I love it! I’m a fellow North Carolinian, lived in Raleigh my whole life. Thanks for posting who designed your blog, I might use her as well! I went ECU and got a BFA in Art Education with a concentration in textile design. It’s so wonderful to see someone who loves fabric and fiber art as much as I do. Keep up the good work, your art is gorgeous.

  • Hi Bonnie! I found your blog after looking online for your aprons. I heard about them when I was visiting your mom’s store. I look forward to reading your blog everyday when I get home from work. Keep up the awesome work!

  • Hi Bonnie,

I love reading your blog. I found out about it when you were the featured seller on etsy! I recently started making totes/purses out of recycled coffee bags, lined with vintage fabric so your eco friendly tips on here are right up my alley!
Wanted to ask you a question..
The pictures you take yourself have a very unique look as far as looking… vintage and the coloring is different than normal photos… is this a certain camera you use or a certain film? I have seen these types of photos before and were curious how they were taken. Any help would be great! Thanks for your blog! I love it!

    • hi jaime! thank you! well, many of the photos i use come from other sources, but the ones i do take myself i edit either using photoshop or i use a nikon d40 (no special lense)- but i’m a big believer in that you don’t have to have a nice camera to take great pics. a lot of it has to do with the lighting, and the editing thereafter- and if you don’t have photoshop, is free and is a GREAT resource! :)

  • Love your blog Bonnie!
I especially like the pricing your handmade goods article today. How about a tax guide in pricing as well , or as far as taxing goes :O) Would love an article on this to help me in my online shop as well.

  • Love, love, love all your handmade stuff! I’ve been playing on your blog for way too long…should be working! Your new home is beautiful and I love all your products. My friend and I are making handmade stockings this Christmas, and having so much fun getting our little business off the ground. Keep up the good work!

  • Bonnie,
Love your blog, its a daily read for me. Just wanted to pass on who I use for sewing labels. Jennifers Jewels on Etsy ( The price is really reasonable (90 for $25). The labels are awesome, they don’t fray and they hold up wash after wash and she can do different designs.
    Thanks for blogging!!

    • thanks for the awesome info monica! i moved this over to the post’s comments for everyone else to see (sorry if my commenting system is confusing!). love that shop!

  • Hi, I just came across your site from the Poppies, and I love it so far! I have added you to my RSS feed and can’t wait to read more of your posts!
