Do you have any idea what kind of leaves these are?
hi janelle! i’m sorry, i don’t know for sure but they might be oleander leaves? maybe you could ask elena? http://bicocacolors.blogspot.com/2011/07/hojas-pintadas.html
i was told they were euclyptus ;eaves… i bought some….they are only about 4 to 6 inchs long
I noticed that someone asked her if they were oleander leaves. I didn’t see a comment back though. Thanks for your reply!
Oleander leaves are poisonous, can cause a skin break out. So I don’t think they are oleander leaves, which are generally shorter than these. These are eucalyptus leaves. Different species are different sizes.
i simply adore these…how amazingly beautiful
The leaves are eucalyptus leaves. No, not the round ones you buy that have a fragrance. These are from a desert eucalyptus, commonly found in dry areas of Australia, South America and the Sonoran and Mojave desert in Arizona and California.
Thanks so much QuinnCreative! They are beautiful!
I just love your painted leaves! What did you do with them? I am also wondering how they have held up over time. I have some ideas perking in my brain….but I don’t know if the painted leaves will be ok over time, or if I should perhaps dip them in resin. Thanks.
Hey there! This post couldn’t be written any better!
Reading this post reminds me of my previous
room mate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this article to
him. Pretty sure he will have a good read. Many thanks for sharing!
I tried this and just loved the results in a fall centerpiece. I found some dried thick long oak leaves and cut along the center spine in the shape of a feather. The results are varying thicknesses and curves. I just love this craft.
