useful and beautiful

useful & beautiful

have nothing print by kelly cummings

though i've lived by this philosophy for a long time,  i've never seen it so beautifully illustrated. when it comes to things in my home, if it's not something i cherish then it's out. each time we move and set up a new home, i like to take things slowly. i really try to feel out which spaces need what and try not to just start putting things away without giving each piece much consideration. it's turns out to be a slow process, but one well worth the effort. this is also why i love to thrift and antique when we travel places. some of the most special pieces in our home have come from different places that we've been together. i love it when the things in my home have a story to tell.
