  • Creative Live is incredible! It’s probably my largest source of photography/editing information and inspiration. Congratulations on getting to share your knowledge there! Even though I have no experience in this area, I’m going to check it out :)

  • I love Creative Live that’s how I found you! I’m looking at your mini lessons right now. I love Adobe Illustrator.

  • This was such a great course! I’ve got a free trial version of Illustrator and am trying the exercises, but I’m new to the whole idea of pattern design and I can’t afford to buy Adobe Illustrator yet. Do you have any suggestions for cheaper or free alternatives that I could use to auto-trace sketches and photos and make repeating patterns? Thanks.

    • hi margaret! thank you so much, i’m glad you enjoyed it! unfortunately, i’m not aware of anything that is comparable to illustrator. however, have you considered creative cloud? it’s just a monthly fee and i believe you can come and go as you please. it makes it much more affordable!

  • Thanks for the reply, Bonnie! Yes, I’ve looked at Creative Cloud but it’s still pretty pricey for someone just starting to experiment. I guess I’ll have to find some others ways to try things out and put them together until I have a better idea of what I’m doing! I got the trial version of Illustrator and am enjoying mucking about with it and doing the exercises from the course. Still so much to learn in there! Thanks again :)
