elizabeth olwen

today i want to highlight a fellow surface pattern designer who's work i'm simply in love with! elizabeth olwen's illustrations are whimsical and organic and with collection names like 'fairytale gardens', 'soft song' and 'flower basket' it's hard to not fall in love.

elizabeth and i have both graduated from the art and business of surface pattern design (by the way, you can see our alumni success stories here and here!) and our paths just seem to keep crossing! she has also just debuted a beautiful new line of fabrics with cloud9 called grey abbey. you must see it! hop on over to elizabeth's website and journal to see more of her lovely work.

elizabeth olwen is a toronto-based surface designer. inspired by pastoral beauty, nature in its most playful forms, folklore, and romance, elizabeth’s work is driven by the desire to leave something beautiful behind with every step she takes.

  • I have a *few* questions about the courses. What type of MAC do you use and what type of MAC accessories do you need? What about the programs? Which courses do you recommend? Do you think you could write a post about these things? Sorry for the overload of questions, but I am just very interested in getting my studio all together!! My MAC is older and there are soooo many options to choose from its almost overwhelming!! Any help/tips/advise would be wonderful! Thanks!!
