DIY antler hose rack (6)

i'm so happy to begin gardening again. jumping around the country over the last few years made it difficult to grow much, but now that we're settled it's time to start homesteading again. i'll be sharing more of the outside of our home over the next week or so, but today i just want to share a simple and beautiful diy project with you. my new antler hose rack! isn't she darling?

after i got the idea, i started scouring the web for a suitable (and affordable) pair of faux antlers. when i stumbled across this pair, i thought they were perfect! i knew i wanted to paint them white, so the coloring didn't matter. here's what you need!

materials:

- pair of faux antlers

- high gloss white spray paint suitable for outdoor use

- white drinking water hose*

- brass twist nozzle*

*of course, you can use your existing hose and nozzle, but since i'll be watering my vegetable garden with this water, i wanted to get a hose that was suitable to drink from. i've also fallen in love with this brass twist nozzle! with a simple twist, it ranges from a fine mist to a powerful spray with all the perfect streams in-between. i use it for everything!

once you've gathered your supplies, just apply 2-3 coats of white spray paint to the antlers and let them dry. use a pair of long screws to attach them near your hose spigot. wrap your hose and hang it on the antlers, then smile!
