The Terrarium Quilt (Free Pattern!)

The Terrarium Quilt (Free Quilt Pattern!) (1)

hey everyone! the blog tour for my current fabric collection, succulence for art gallery fabrics began this week and today is MY day to join the fun! i'm excited to share with you the quilt that i designed for the collection called terrarium (made and quilted by my momma, maxie makes). i was inspired by the geometric lines of little terrariums and glass boxes filled with tiny succulents! i love how the tumbling blocks turned out. the key is to use dark, medium and light shades in the same place for each tumbling block to create the '3d box effect' (i've also made some wall art like this before!).

best news of all - we made it a free quilt pattern for you! you can download the instructions for the terrarium quilt and get started making one of your own right away!

succulence was inspired by my favorite type of house plant, the succulent (i can count 14 of them from where i sit right now!). i love succulents because they have the unique ability to absorb even the tiniest bits of water. they thrive on what they preserve and are able to constantly create new growth by propagation.

succulence represents the ability to survive on little and to constantly create new beginnings. with an everlasting drive to evolve over time, i hope this collection will inspire you to follow your biggest dreams.

be sure to see yesterday's project by taylor made creates and hop on over to ants to sugar tomorrow for daisy's stop on the blog tour! (see the full line up here!)
