Bathing without Chemicals

as you probably already know, most commercial products for body washes, bath foams, gels and bubbles contain harsh chemicals that strip your skin of beneficial oils. because of this, using a plain vegetable soap is always the best way to clean your body. you can use any number of delicious organic essential oils to fragrance your bath. simply mix 6-10 drops of your chosen oil with one tablespoon of plant based milk first. the little bit of fat in the milk will help distribute the oils evenly in your bath water!

to take it even a step further, add a handful of epsom salts to the water as well. soaking in salt allows your skin to release accumulated toxins and can help relieve muscles tightness which make for quite a therapeutic bath. if you like fizz as well, just add a sprinkle of baking soda to the water at the same time.

essential oils for your skin type:

greasy skin:

lavender, organe, lemon, neroli, cypress, ylang-ylang, bergamot.

normal skin:

palma rosa, geranium, lavender, roman chamomile, jasmine, neroli, ylang-ylang, grankincense, sandalwood, pathcoil.

sensitive skin:

geranium, lavender, german chamomile.

dry skin:

geranium, lavender, germa chamomile, roman chamomile, clary sage, myrrh.
