You heard me. I’m not sure if that’s an actual term yet, but I think it’s very pinteresting … :)
This tip is all about making the work that you do go the extra mile. If you’re a frequent Pinterest browser, no doubt you’ve found several pins that directly link to Instagram. In fact, I always get excited when I fall in love with an “Instagram Pin”, because it means I can dive right into someone’s world. I can see in a nutshell what they’re all about, and choose to follow them right then and there. It also means that the link isn’t a dead end (yup, we’re talking about YOU tumblr.).
So with that in mind, I’m sharing with you my favorite way to share my Instagram posts right to Pinterest. If you’re putting forth the effort to share on social, why not take one extra step and make it go the extra mile for you? Plus, you never know what’s gonna go viral on Pinterest. It can be funny (mine has been this post), but HUGE in terms of visitors.

I’ve turned this into 8 steps, but it only took me about 15 second to execute. I call that worth it.
From your Instagram homepage, scroll until you find the photo you’d like to share to Pinterest and select it.
Tap the 3 dots (…) in the upper right hand corner and select ‘share’.
This copies the link, which you’ll see confirmed at the top via a green bar.
Exit Instagram and open Pinterest (still on your phone). Immediately, a dark grey bar will appear that says “Save the link copied?”. Click here! *If you miss it, go to your profile and select the plus symbol (+) in the top right hand corner, then click ‘copied link’.
Next pick the image you’d like to share by tapping it.
Give your image a great description! This should include loads of relavent keywords but sound natural and engaging. Thinking in terms of what someone would ideally search for to find your pin will help you get started.
Select the board you’d like to share it to.
