I've been busy decking the halls of the farmhouse, so I thought I would give you a little 'holiday home tour'! One of my favorite ways to decorate for the holidays is by using fresh greenery, it makes everything feel so festive and it smells so good! I know a lot of people are concerned over it drying out, but we spritz it with water and let it do its thing. Even dried greenery still looks beautiful (and smells amazing!).
We got an extra early snow this year, and it was the best surprise! We woke up to a winter wonderland and it felt so magical, like Christmas came early! We lost power for a few days but hunkered down by the fire and enjoyed the simplicity of it all.
As soon as I had the plans for our home on paper, I started planning for Christmas. I knew where the tree would go and that I would hang a wreath in each of the entryway windows and on the barn doors. Having walked these floors in my mind for so long, feeling them under my feet is a feeling I still can’t quite put into words. I suppose grateful would sum it up most accurately. :)
So won't you come on in and warm yourself by the fire?
