What did you love most about Immersion?

The wealth of knowledge. I feel like I have grown so much personally as well as learning a new skill.

What made you decide to enroll?

Starting this journey was something that literally fell into my lap. It was something I didn’t even know existed until I saw an Instagram post with Bonnie talking about surface pattern design. It was something I didn’t believe was even possible, surface pattern design, what was that?

I was intrigued and started looking deeper into what Bonnie had to offer. I missed Immersion by a couple of weeks, but thought to myself, if I am still thinking about his next year, I am doing this!

Turning 50 last year was all about trying something new and realizing it’s never too late! I feel I’ve had a tremendous amount of “wins” since enrolling.

These wins may seem “small” to some, but they are “huge” to me. I learned I am capable of doing anything. Doing one thing a day has helped me to look at many aspects of my life in bite size pieces. I’ve found I’m accomplishing more with focus and confidence knowing it’s not a race but a journey.

I’ve been able to slow down, observe more, and soak in inspiration everywhere.

• I am currently working on my first collection after finding, what I believe, is my personal style.
• I’ve met some wonderful friends locally and in different parts of the the country through Immersion. We are sharing our wins weekly and monthly. I feel I have business partners where we all want each other to succeed and grow. It’s also made this big world seem a little bit smaller.
• My new website is almost complete, and with Bonnie’s lessons, I have been able to use what she taught for web design. It’s been so much fun making this special part of my website feel more like a unique and personal “brand”.
• I also just put one of my patterns on a coffee mug so I could drink from it every day knowing “I did this” and there is more to come.
• I truly feel blessed for this incredible opportunity. I never knew I would have so much fun creating and I do feel like there is room for me.
