To anyone who is considering the Immersion Course, but uncertain because of the investment or any other reason, I would say this: if you want something that you have never had, you have to do something that you have never done.
For a long time, I struggled to find my dream as a creative and to put it into practice because it's difficult and time-consuming to do so alone and I was afraid to invest in myself. For me, that was the ‘something I had never done'. But when I invested, it led to a commitment and resolve that has only grown since taking the course. The course material, teaching, community, and accountability are absolutely worth the investment.
Before taking the Immersion Course in 2020, I had a lot of creative dreams but no consistent practice, focus, or idea about how to turn my creative interests into a career. When I discovered Bonnie Christine and the Immersion course, I immediately realized that the way I love to create art in parts and pieces and draw inspiration from every part of life was perfectly suited to surface design.Although it felt like a huge investment, I was a heart buyer and signed up for the course the first day it opened – no hesitations! By that day, I was confident that the course was designed for me! Prior to Immersion, I had never used Illustrator or any Adobe products.
The course is so well designed that I quickly felt confident and proficient while turning my paintings into patterns in Illustrator and produced a collection before the end of the course that is still one of my favorites.
Since completing the course, I have had the confidence and opportunity to build a strong foundation for my creative business, Toboggan Avenue, and have launched a blog, a Skillshare class, a Spoonflower shop, a shop with my own products and have connected with so many beautiful creatives along the way. In 2022, I am coordinating a peer-led mastermind with several of these creatives!
