What I loved most is that I felt like my hand was being held all the way – step by step – removing the overwhelming thoughts of not knowing where to start or finish when diving into the world of pattern making, which was all new to me.
My favorite part of the course was learning about collections. That was a true eye opener for me. And I was so proud when I made my first collection. Currently I’m working on ideas for my next collection and I’m excited to see where it takes me!
Before I started my journey with Surface Pattern Design I had taken a master’s degree in Graphic Design and it was during that time I discovered my love for patterns. I knew I wanted to work with patterns but I didn’t know how that would be possible and without thinking about it my dream was being put on hold. It was being kept a distant dream.
That was until I stumbled upon the Immersion course description. I felt like THERE IT WAS! Suddenly my dream didn’t feel so far away anymore and I just knew I had to take the course.
Before signing up I was a bit hesitant though because of my financial situation and the price of the course. Having student loans and being without a job made it difficult for me to find the money for it. But I somehow managed and it’s the best money I have ever spent.
It really opened my eyes to the world of patterns. So many aspects I didn’t even know existed. So many possibilities. And meeting people who had actually done what I wanted to do was really inspiring.
